StartUP Sault Ste. Marie is excited to announce the next installment of Startup Talks in partnership with Northern Credit Union.

The quarterly event features local entrepreneurs who tell their own story of how they started their entrepreneurial journey, the challenges they overcame and triumphs they experienced. These events aim to both educate and inspire the community, and attendees have the opportunity to ask questions following the talk, during the Q&A session.

Startup Talks will take place on March 13, 2019 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. in the Boiler Room lounge area @ The Machine Shop, and includes light refreshments, networking and a cash bar.

The featured guest is Jeff Elgie, CEO of Village Media (owner of Sootoday.com). Village Media has grown rapidly and now owns or operates news websites in 21 communities throughout Canada.

Jeff will talk about his entrepreneurial journey since age 15, including how he grew Lucidia into the largest Integrated Marketing Communications agency in Northern Ontario and moved on to become the CEO and majority shareholder of Village Media.
