StartUP Sault Ste. Marie announces the launch of their new event, Startup Talks, which aims to both educate and inspire the community. This regular event features local entrepreneurs who will tell their own story of how they started their entrepreneurial journey, the challenges they overcame and triumphs they experienced. Talks will include a Q&A session, cash bar and networking.
“Sault Ste. Marie has a lot of successful entrepreneurs,” said Nevin Buconjic, StartUP Sault Founder and Community Lead. “Many of them have great stories to tell and lessons to share, and StartUP Sault wants to facilitate the sharing of this valuable information to inspire the community and new entrepreneurs who can benefit from their experience.”
Startup Talks can be viewed as a variation of the well-known Ted Talks, although delivery will range from a slide show or presentation, to casual fire-side chat – depending on each guest speaker’s preferences. All events will include a Q&A session to allow the audience and moderators to learn more and ask specific questions. Networking, snacks and a cash bar will also be available.
The inaugural Startup Talks will take place on June 2, 2016 from 6:00-8:00PM at the Millworks Centre for Entrepreneurship and the audience will be limited to just 35 seats. The event features Joe Ruscio, a true entrepreneur and risk-taker, who has found significant success, while continuing to give back to the community.
A $5 (plus HST) admission includes snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Registration is online only, and tickets are available here. Seats are limited, so please register today!
